Invoicing
Ready-made PDF invoice or XRechnung, straight from the app
TimeTrack automatically turns your tracked time into a finished invoice — as a PDF or, for Germany, directly as XRechnung (XML, compliant with the e-invoicing mandate) — hourly, half-day or day rate, or optionally a fixed price per project. The invoice number is assigned automatically in sequence. Included: billing period, detailed time tracking (per day), plus your own sender address, bank details and signature (PDF). Optionally, the breakdown by DaVinci page (Edit, Color, Fairlight, Deliver, External) can be included directly. The invoice is generated in German, English, Spanish, French or Italian — including the matching tax rate. No separate invoicing software needed — invoice in one step, straight from ARISDA TimeTrack.

5-language system
A real 5-language system — invoices in your client's own language
The app interface runs in German, English, Spanish, French or Italian. Independently of that, you set per client which language they receive their invoice in — a French client gets it fully automatically in French, with the exact VAT rate that applies in their country. No other time tracker for DaVinci Resolve does this.

Frequently asked questions
Does TimeTrack need DaVinci Resolve Studio, or does Free work too?
Resolve Studio is required. TimeTrack connects to DaVinci Resolve through its scripting API, which Blackmagic makes available only in DaVinci Resolve Studio (full version) — the free version does not support this kind of external connection, same as ARISDA Bridge.
Is my project and client data sent anywhere?
No. All tracked time, project names, client data, rates and invoices are stored exclusively in a local file on your own computer. TimeTrack makes no network connection to send this data anywhere — no cloud sync, no tracking.
Can I invoice clients in different countries with different VAT rates?
Yes. VAT rates are entered per invoice (not a single hardcoded preset), and the invoice language is set individually per client — independent of your own app language — supporting German, English, Spanish, French or Italian.
I only work with local clients — do I still get invoices in my own language?
Yes. Invoices are generated in your own language with the correct local VAT rate automatically — you don't need to change anything per invoice. All 5 supported languages (German, English, Spanish, French, Italian) work the same way.
Can I invoice international clients in their own language?
Yes. The invoice language is set individually per client, so a client in France gets a French invoice, a client in Spain gets a Spanish invoice, and so on — independent of your own app language. 5 languages are supported: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian.
What's the difference between a budget and a fixed price?
Budget mode tracks your actual worked time against a reference amount and shows a live over/under bar. Fixed-price mode simply bills the set amount regardless of time worked — toggle between the two per project.
Is the license per PC or transferable?
The license applies to one PC. No subscription — one-time payment.
Do I also need ARISDA Bridge?
No — TimeTrack is fully standalone. If you also need DaVinci timecode display, PunchLight hardware control or a studio clock, get ARISDA Bridge instead — its Work Time & Invoice feature already includes everything TimeTrack does, so there's no need to buy both.
Can TimeTrack open and close DaVinci Resolve for me?
Yes, optionally. In Settings, "DaVinci Auto" can be set to launch DaVinci Resolve automatically when TimeTrack starts, and close it again when you quit — or left off entirely if you'd rather start Resolve yourself.
What happens if the app crashes or my PC loses power?
Your tracked time is written to disk automatically every few seconds and after every action — not just when you close the app. A crash, force-quit or power loss costs you at most a few seconds of tracked time, never a whole session.
Are updates free?
Bug fixes and minor updates within version 1.x are free. A future major version (2.0) would be a separate purchase — the same one-time model as ARISDA Bridge.
Do I need to start a timer manually?
No. TimeTrack detects your project and page in DaVinci Resolve and starts tracking on its own — there's no start button to press or timer to remember.
Does it keep tracking when DaVinci Resolve is in the background?
Yes. TimeTrack reads Resolve's own project state directly through its scripting API, not by watching which window has focus — so switching to your browser, Slack or another app while Resolve keeps running doesn't interrupt tracking.
Can I track multiple clients and projects at the same time?
Yes, there's no limit. Every DaVinci Resolve project gets its own tracked history, rate and client — switch projects in Resolve and TimeTrack automatically tracks the new one.
I charge flat/fixed rates instead of hourly — is TimeTrack useful for me?
Yes. Switch any project to fixed-price mode and TimeTrack bills the agreed amount regardless of hours worked, while still showing you exactly how much time you actually put into it — so you know what the job really paid you per hour, even without an hourly rate.
Is there a free trial?
There's no time-limited trial — TimeTrack asks for your license key from the first launch. Instead, you're covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee, so you can buy with confidence and get a full refund within 7 days if it's not for you.
How do I activate my license?
Enter the license key from your Gumroad purchase confirmation on first launch — no account, no online activation server, done in seconds.
Is TimeTrack available for Mac?
Not currently — TimeTrack is Windows only.
If I raise a client's rate, does that change what old, already-invoiced days are worth?
No. TimeTrack freezes the rate that was active on each day it was earned. Raise a client's rate today, and every day worked before today still bills at the old rate — only new days count at the new one. Your history is never rewritten, and if a rate change falls in the middle of an invoiced period, the invoice automatically shows both rates as separate line items.
On a fixed-price project, can I see if I'm actually making my target hourly rate?
Yes. Fixed-price projects show a live effective rate (fee ÷ hours worked so far) right next to a burn bar, based on your normal hourly rate for that client. It fills up as you approach the hours the fee was meant to cover, and once you go over, it shows exactly how much the overrun cost you — so you always know if that flat fee is still paying what you expect.
Can I change what counts as a half day or a full day?
Yes. In Settings, you can set your own half-day and full-day hour thresholds — by default a day up to 5 hours bills as a half day and up to 8 hours as a full day, with anything beyond that counted as overtime. Change either value any time to match how you actually work; every day tracked afterward uses your new thresholds.
Each day shows a "Default" billing mode — what does that actually mean?
"Default" means the day bills itself automatically using your half-day/full-day hour thresholds from Settings — no manual choice needed for a normal day. Worked up to your half-day threshold (5h by default), it bills as a half day; up to your full-day threshold (8h by default), a full day; anything beyond that counts as overtime on top. If a specific day doesn't fit that pattern — a short client call billed by the hour, for example — click the day and switch just that one day to Hours, ½ day or 1 day manually, without changing the rule for every other day.
